What makes Triskelion a desirable space for your rehearsals?
Triskelion is proud to offer the following:
two clean, quality studios at a convenient location one stop from Manhattan on the L train.
keyed entry, no need to "interface" with the management after your initial visit.
two restrooms
CD and cassette player in both studios
VCR/DVD player/TV available in both studios!
personal, reliable yet relaxed management.
Here's what some of our renters have to say about Triskelion!
"I love working at Triskelion (Studio A). The space is beautiful and feels great and, best of all, it's private. It's also one of the few spaces where you have the luxury of having perspective on what you are making, you can sit farther than 6 inches away from the work which is helpful when you're constructing work for bigger spaces..."--Miguel Gutierrez
"Triskelion is one of my favorite places in Williamsburg. I used to live around the corner and always felt like the studio was an extension of my living room. With Triskelion near by, my quality of life is super high. Whether it is Sunday morning or Tuesday night, I can quickly transfer ideas to work in a safe, pleasant environment. And I can afford it. Who can ask for anything more?"--Ian Spencer Bell
"I adore rehearsing at Triskelion! The space is expansive, inspiring, and full of positive energy. Something about the hardwood floor and the view of the Manhattan skyline creates an environment in which I feel at home, and able to tune into my creative impulses. There are rehearsal spaces that are closer to where I live but I choose to go the extra distance to rehearse at Triskelion."--Hilary Maia Grubb
"It has always been a pleasure to rehearse at Triskelion Arts. The studios are beautiful and everyone I have ever met in the office has been genuinely interested in helping all artists and performers they come into contact with. It is the most affordable, cleanest, largest, and family-like studio rental atmosphere I have ever enountered and everytime I book space there I am grateful for the warm nature and trusting relationship they have with their renters. Triskelion is a great resource run by people who care about protecting the arts and I can't wait to come back again."
--Angela Harriell
I'm very happy with your space. It is convenient, clean, has a nice floor, offers reasonable rates... and it boasts a great view, to boot!"--Peter Kyle
"Triskelion has been all wonderful things for me. Not only is it one of the most reasonably priced rehearsal and performance spaces around, but Studio A is a large, beautiful space to work in for such a low cost. I've presented two full-length productions at Triskelion and each one was a fantastic experience. The staff is incredibly supportive and available to help at all times. They really made the process easy and fulfilling. I'm a #1 fan."
--Becky Radway
"Whenever I'm working on something new I love to begin my rehearsal process at Triskelion because the studios are always clean, affordable, private and have great floors."
-- Bryon Carr

MOVING, SWITCHING, OR CUTTING DOWN YOUR TIME WITH LESS THAN A WEEK'S NOTICE DOES NOT WAIVE YOUR OBLIGATION TO PAY FOR YOUR CANCELLED OR MISSED SLOT OR THAT PORTION OF IT. We will always try to rebook any slot you've cancelled or changed late to save you the money, but if we are unable to, you must pay for it.
Renter understands that rates are different for auditions, showings (even informal ones), photo and video shoots and agrees to use space for rehearsal only unless permission has been given by mgmt and appropriate payment has been made for such use.
There is a $10 key payment for EACH studio. THIS IS NO LONGER A DEPOSIT. IT'S A ONE-TIME FEE FOR NEW RENTERS 2008 ON.

TIPS ON PROTECTING AND MAINTAINING A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE STUDIO.
Your safety and security is of the utmost importance to us. Always lock yourselves into the studio. If you rehearse at night, be sure to secure the door to the 3rd Floor after 6pm. Be sure your dancers have a cell phone number to contact you upon their arrival, as under no circumstances should you leave the door to the third floor open at night and there is no buzzer on street level or on the 3rd floor.
If something is wrong, i.e. the heat isn't working or you've locked yourself out of the studio or a similar problem, and there are no staff in the office, please contact our emergency number immediately, posted inside the studios and on our business card.
Our cancellation policy is one-week, but we ask that you alert us to cancellations even sooner if possible, to allow for re-booking. Rental income is how our doors stay open to you!
Stuff happens. If you accidentally break equipment, smash a mirror, or put a hole in the wall, please be honest with us and we will reach a fair agreement and promise not to bite BUT PLEASE don't keep it to yourselves and make us suspicious of everyone.
If you book a studio that you dont have keys for, its your responsibility to arrange to get them at least a week prior to your rehearsal.
When using Studio A, be very careful not to lock yourselves out when exiting to use the restroom! You must unlock the lower manual lock by the studio back door!
When in doubt, ask. Please do not ever assume that it is okay to use equipment, props, etc. you see in the space, without express clearance from the management. Anyone found using our sound or lighting equipment without permission will be charged for it.
Don't lose your keys! In a pinch, phone us at our emergency number--but there is no guarantee that a staff member will be on-hand to let you in to the space. If you lose your keys, you must pay another key deposit for a 2nd set and you are responsible for paying for the space you booked even if you lose your keys.
Do not consider any rehearsal booked until you've spoken directly with a staff member or a staff member has left word with you expressly stating confirmation of booking, (not simply stating that the time you requested is available and asking that you return their call.)
Show respect for the bathrooms, hallways, and other businesses on the floor by keeping them clean, keeping your noise within the studio's walls and not leaving personal items behind you.
Payments must be made at time of use. If youve accidentally forgotten to pay, just let us know so we dont stalk you. If you have long-term outstanding balances, we cannot rent future space to you until youve paid. Please put all payments, even checks, in envelopes clearly marked with your name, date, time of use, and which studio and drop through office mail slot. WRITE OUR NAME CAREFULLY ON YOUR CHECKS TRISKELION ARTS and do not make any cross-outs on them, even initialed ones. Checks may be returned from our bank and youll be accountable for any related fees.
As rehearsals are booked back to back, dont enter until your designated slot and please vacate by its end. If you stay even fifteen minutes late, please pay for it. thanks.
Windows in studio B must be closed and locked before you leave and all folding chairs put away. Turn heat off in Studio B and down to 55 in A when youre done.
Prop and set storage not allowed.
Triskelion reserves the right to enter the studio (to retrieve equipment or quietly show the space to new renters) during ANY rehearsal booked.
The back wall in Studio A is NOT weight-bearing. Renters agree not to hurl themselves into it...please.
Keep your contact information updated with us. If you move or change your phone or email address, be sure to let us know.
Try to come to a fair and friendly resolution when and if a double-booking conflict occurs and there is no staff member on hand to confirm which party is in error.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION! |
