Dorchel Haqq and Hakeem Olayinka present ‘AND AROUND N ROUND’. A multidisciplinary immersive installation experience that showcases a collaboration between both artists and highlights themes of playfulness.
Dorchel explores fantasy and abstracts the echo of transgenerational trauma in her body of culture through film, sound exploration and object investigations. Dorchel’s movement practices questions, challenges and induces an imaginative world. @dorchelhaqq
Hakeem has a focus in painting though his work often takes on other forms like sculpture and installation. Hakeem Olayinka paints portraits of Black figures often using himself as the subject. The figures are often masked or adorned in vibrant colors. @hak.olayinka
